Hi, I’m Jenie - but I go by @justjenies online. Why that username, you may ask? It’s to remind myself that my online presence is a part of myself, but not my entire self, if that makes sense.
I started sharing my digital art in 2022, and since then, I’ve grown so much as an artist. Rather recently, I’ve shifted my focus to more traditional mediums and selling my original art. I’m inspired by “casual magic”, moments that capture ordinary life, nature, and trying to whimsically capture the Danish phenomenon of “hygge”.
On that note, I was born in Denmark, and I’m currently based in Copenhagen. I live with my 5yo shelter cat, Noma, who thinks walking over my sketchbook pages is the best thing ever. (Especially when they’re not dry!) Perhaps she wants to be an artist, too:)
In my free-time you can find me playing guitar, reading books and longingly staring through the windows to the art store. I also volunteer at an animal shelter and try to take myself on solo dates that can inspire me to draw even more. When I do that, I try to document them and post about it on my Instagram.

FAQs
Where can I buy your ACEOs?
For now, you can buy them on through my Ebay. I recommend following me on there if you’re interested. I also have page dedicated to my all the ACEOs I have created here.
Can I buy your art as NFTs?
No.
Do you use AI in your work?
No. Absolutely not. Art is about connection, not convenience.
What do you use to make your art?
Digital Art:
I draw digitally on my iPad Pro (12.9″ M1, 2021), using Procreate.
My favourite brushes, that don’t come with Procreate, are from the Retro Maxpack
Traditional Art:
For my traditional art I switch around A LOT, but I’ve grown very fond of FaberCastell Polychromos and Holbein Gouache. For my sketchbook pages I love adding details with Ohuhu Alcohol markers.
I try to list what I use for individual pieces in their posts:) If you still want to know about something specifically, you’re more than welcome to DM me about it on Instagram.
Do you accept commissions?
Not yet – I’d love to in the future. I’ll be sure to post about it on social media when I’m ready. If it’s something special to you, you can always contact me, and maybe we can make it work anyway. Please use this contact form.
How/Where did you learn to draw?
I’m self-taught. But YouTube is a great place to find tutorials.
